P&T Knitwear is a new privately-owned bookstore located on Orchard Street in the Lower East Side. The store functions not only as a bookstore, but as a community/civic space. The store is equipped with a cafe, dedicated children’s nook, and a large amphitheater seating for events and book launches. Underneath the amphitheater and flanking the storefront on Orchard Street, is a free-to-use podcast studio, acoustically separated from the rest of the store.
