XXX  Rolo | Furniture

In Production | 2025

Rolo is a modular, dual-functioning statement piece that effortlessly transitions between a bench and a lounge chair. Designed to offer versatility, this transformable piece of furniture combines function with style. At first glance, it serves as a sleek daybed or bench, while with a simple shift, it morphs into a comfortable lounge chair.

The design features a durable chromed tubular steel frame complemented by ten fixed 7” diameter leather bolsters, which provide both comfort and visual appeal. The form and materials speak to a postmodern aesthetic, with a focus on clean lines and functional elegance. The challenge was to create a piece that could seamlessly transform while maintaining a sense of cohesiveness and elegance. Rolo utilizes its single stainless-steel tubular framework not only as structural support, but also as the sliding mechanism that allows the row of bolsters to shift and lock into different positions, enabling the piece to adapt to its two settings and functions. In addition to sliding, the bolster connections can pivot, adapting the piece’s form to transition smoothly from bench to lounge chair.

Rolo is a piece that tries to go beyond versatility, offering both innovation and practicality for any living space. Its seamless transition from a daybed to a lounge chair allows it to adapt effortlessly to changing needs, while still maintaining a bold presence in the room.
